A weekly 50-minute music program geared towards our youngest singers. Cantiamo is a fun and educational program introducing children in JK, SK, and grade 1 to music and choral singing.
Curriculum:
- interactive learning through games and engaging activities, including use of musical instruments
- introduction to basic music concepts
- introduction to ensemble singing
- concert performances
Location: Westminster United Church (in-person) & Zoom (online)
- Cantiamo 1 rehearsals will be held online only.
- Cantiamo 2 rehearsals will be held outdoors on the patio behind Westminster Church. We will only move indoors to the Fellowship Room if there is inclement weather (accessed from the back of the church). When in-person rehearsals are not possible, we will have online rehearsals.
- Parents and choristers must wear masks in order to access all MCC facilities, including the outdoor property of Westminster United Church.

Rehearsal days and times (we offer 2 Cantiamo classes):
Cantiamo 1: Wednesdays 5:30pm to 6:20pm - this is an ONLINE class
Cantiamo 2: Wednesdays 6:20pm to 7:10 pm with Christina Lianos - this is an IN-PERSON class (subject to Public Health regulations). UPDATE: classes currently held ONLINE
